County Walkers
Aberdeenshire 1st Kintore Cub Scouts are taking part in Huntly, Aberdeenshire.  We will be joining with Inverurie Cub Scouts to take part.  We will be taking the train to Huntly, then hiking to the Castle for a Tour.  Thereafter we will hike to the Nordic Ski Centre for some tubing and in line skiing.  We will then hike back to the train and travel home. 30
Aberdeenshire Stoneywood Scout Group are taking part. Walking from Mouth of the Bridge of Don to Aberdeen Harbour. Also doing a nature activity while doing the walk and have some fun. We decided to make it 2 hours so the Beavers can have a play at the end at the park. 21
Angus South Angus Scouting Active Support are taking part at Fothringham Hill, By Forfar.  Cubs from the three districts within Angus shall hike for six miles through a forest before climbing Fothringham Hill with its views out over Forfar, Glamis and Strathmore. An observation quiz and interesting things to see in the estate grounds along the way. 150
Antrim 7th Larne Scout Group are taking part in the Antrim hills near Larne. Night hike, camp over night and day hike with the whole group. 40
Avon 1st Abbotswood Scout Group are taking part at Blaise Castle. We are walking around the woods of Blaise Castle then sitting down for our packed lunch and enjoying the park. 40
Ayrshire 12th Ayrshire Kingcase Scout Group are taking part. Walk along beach to Bellisle park , play games with other Beaver groups then walk back using slightly different route. 16
Ayrshire 12th Ayrshire Cub Scouts are taking part. We are walking the Smugglers Trail from Dundonald Castle to Troon in Ayrshire. 15
Ayrshire 18th Ayrshire St Columba Beavers Scouts are taking part.  We plan on leaving from Blackburn car park walking along to the river Doon then up to Belleisle where we will stop for a while for games and ice cream before returning back to Blackburn car park. 15

Beaver JOTT (Jamboree on the Trail) this year will be on Saturday 11th May.  Ayr Beach to Belleisle Park

This year’s JOTT for Cubs will follow the Smugglers Trail again but this time starting at the Castle in Dundonald and finishing at Troon. Sunday 12th May

Description: BEAVERS – We will start at Blackburn (Ayr India) car park at 1300 and making our way away along the beach to the River Doon and then up to Belleisle Park for a session in the play park followed by ice lollies and games. Return by the usual route down to the coast and then back along the coast path to the car park for a 1600 finish.

CUBS – The route is about eight kilometres, ideal for Cubs. We will put together some clues to be found en-route. The start is at the car park at the Castle, Dundonald and the finish is at the Car Park at the South end of Troon Beach. If time permits, we may have a couple of activities for the Cubs at the end.
Start at 1.00 p.m. pick up from Troon at 4.45 p.m. (We should finish by about 4.15).
Ayrshire 48th Ayrshire (Dunonald) Scout Group are taking part. Walking along our Smugglers Trail Dundonald -Troon with other groups from Kyle and Carrick district. 15
Bedfordshire Ampthill and Woburn Explorers are taking part from Potton to Great Barford to Bedford. Explorer & Network hike to camp site, for camp fire dinner & investiture of 5 new adult leaders into Scouting as part of the District Explorer team. A night away then a shorter hike to the train back home the following day. 25
Berkshire 1st Owlsmoor Scout Group are taking part from Owlsmoor Sandhurst Berkshire to Bracknell Berkshire. Hiking from HQ to the Lookout and returning to the Owlsmoor HQ for BBQ 35
Buckinghamshire 1st Grendon & Edgcott Scout Group are taking part at Marlow Buckinghamshire.  We are doing a water activity weekend and we are planning to do JOTT to the chip shop to get their evening meal. 18
Buckinghamshire 1st Aylesbury Scout Group are taking part in the Chiltern Hills and Surrounding Area.  We will start from our Scout Centre in Aylesbury and walk along the A41 to join a footpath which will take us to Weston Turville , then walk along the  Public Footpath through a residential  area to a path which leads to the towpath of the Wendover Canal this carries on to another residential area to the Ridgeway Path which part of it is Wendover High Street and we proceed to Coombe Hill Monument via Bacoombe Hill. 30
Caerphilly 1st Abercarn Crai Scouts will be taking part in a night hike with bases within 6 miles of Abercarn South East Wales 20
Cardiff Llanishen and Lisvane Scout Group are taking part in Penarth.  Meeting at our scout hut in Llanishen, Cardiff, we will catch the train to Penarth.  Following a lovely 5 mile circular route passed Penarth Pier, Lavernock Point and Cosmeston Lakes, our whole scout group will hopefully join together for this years JOTT. 35
Cardiff Thunderous Taiho ESU are taking part in a night hike in Twmbarlwm Cwmcarn Forest. 14
Cheshire Mid Cheshire- Cubs are taking part in Cheshire:- Part of a Mini Hike weekend competition. 100
Cheshire Ellesmere Port and Neston District will once again be taking part in 2019 walking along the Wirral Way finishing with games and a BBQ 200
Cheshire Beaver Scouts and Leaders from 28th Warrington West and 5th Warrington East will hike along the Sandstone Trail Cheshire as part of their sleepover activities 30
Cheshire 1st South West Cheshire Scout Group are taking part in Snowdonia. Hiking Expedition for 12 Scouts over two days (18th & 19th May 2019) 12
Cheshire 3rd Gee Cross Beaver Scouts are hiking from Dukinfield to Portland Basin Museum in Ashton along the canal.  We will include information about water safety, and we will spend some time at the museum. We are hoping to include a trip on a canal boat too. 25
Cheshire 3rd Frodsham Scout Group are taking part: Aston Farm, Sutton Weaver. Hike and nature trail. 20
Cheshire 16th Crewe Green Scout Group are taking part within the local area of Crewe, yet to be decided but idea of Blue Bell Wood. Group nature walk to encourage mixing of sections. 30
Cheshire 1st Gawsworth (St James) Scout Group are taking part in Lyme Park (National Trust) Disley Cheshire.  The Beavers will be hiking up to the woods using their own maps and looking out for nature along the way. They will be den building, filling out a questionnaire and finishing off in the play area. Quite a busy day! 28
Cheshire 12th Widnes ST Luke’s Scout Group are taking part in Forest Camp, Sandiway, Cheshire.  Beavers, Cubs Scouts and Leaders will be completing an orienteering nature trail around Forest Camp on Sat 11th May during their annual camping trip they will also be completing water activities, cave bus, tracking and trailing, backwoods cooking and of course a camp fire with songs. 50
Cheshire 1st Over St John’s, Winsford Scout District: Mid-Cheshire are taking part at Winsford, River Weaver and surrounding areas. The whole group (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts) and their families will be walking from Winsford, following the river Weaver, into surrounding villages. We hope to have the other Scout groups in Winsford join us. 60
Cheshire 3rd S.W.Cheshire (Wolverton) Scout Group are taking part at Pistyll Rhaedr.  Exploration of hill around waterfall. 7
Cheshire 6th Runcorn Scout Group are taking part in Delamere Forest. Hike round the Gruffalo Trail followed by bivouac building. 15
Clwyd 1st Corwen Scout Group will be taking part in Llangollen, a 2-night camp
Beavers and Cub sections
Walk the historical Thomas Telford canal trail including chain bridge and horse shoe falls. Completed with a boat journey crossing the aqueduct.
Clwyd 1st Rhyl Scout Group are taking part in Dyserth Denbighshire. Scouts – Walk from Dyserth to Cwm  & return, visiting ancient Mills and Hillfort, plus Limekiln Hopefully Sponsored walk in aid of Alzheimers Society for Million Hands. 16
Clyde Calder District Scouts are taking part at Strathclyde Park into Dalzell Estate, Motherwell, Scotland. We’re holding an event across all 4 youth sections with different distances for Beavers/Cubs and Scouts/Explorers. The Scouts/Explorers can walk with kit, to give them expedition experience. Beavers/Cubs will carry lunch. Scouts/Explorers will also navigate some “incidents”. Beavers/Cubs will explore some secrets in Dalzell Estate. 200

Derbyshire 2nd Glossop Scout Group are taking part along Sett Valley Trail, Hayfield, Derbyshire. A family walk for all our YPs and their families. 25
Derbyshire 5th Dronfield Cub Pack are taking part in Moss Valley, on the Derbyshire / South Yorkshire border.We are looking forward to a fun filled evening 5 mile wander in these beautiful bluebell woods, a picnic and probably a splash about in the brook! 23
Devon 1st Colyton Scout Group are taking part in Colyton. A Walk/Hike including parents and pets for Scouts and Cubs. 22
Devon 1st Seaton Scout Group, are taking part. A walk for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts around Seaton. Hopefully parents will walk as well. Finishing at the Scout Hut with a barbecue or similar. 30

Devon 5th North Devon Scout Group are taking part Landkey to Bishop Tawton near Barnstaple, N Devon. Joint Beavers and Cubs hike on footpaths and across fields.
Devon 1st Pinhoe Scout Group are taking part on Dartmoor Pinhoe cubs will be walking a 3 mile route around the area of Hound Tor with Challenges and activities along the way. 15
Devon 1st Colyton Scout Group are taking part in Branscombe/Beer/Seaton/Colyton a Coastal Hike/Walk for all Cubs and Scouts including all family members and dogs. 30
Devon 1st Hemyock Scout Group are taking part in the Blackdown hills.  Cub day hike of about 5 miles in our local area. 25
Devon Colyton Scout Group are taking part in a sponsored hike with Cubs and Scouts, walking from Beer to Reece Strawbridge Centre, Colyton. 20
Dorset Canford Heath Scouts, Poole District will be taking part in Studland, a major heathland and open area adjacent to Poole Harbour, Dorset. Camping two nights on a green field site (only drinking water provided). The camping area is heathland with a few evergreen trees. The Scouts will be walking around the surrounding area in circular walks which will also achieve their Expedition Challenge. Their task will be to produce a report on the human impact upon the area. Originally heath land-of which there is still a considerable amount, this now has areas of pine tree plantations, oil well collection station, farming, disused railway, old quarries and public camping etc. 20
Dorset Christchurch Scout District are taking part. Our bi-annual hike on Brownsea Island with picnic as a district with ferry trip from Sandbanks. 150
Dorset Dorchester & West Dorset District are taking part on Brownsea Island. 100
Dorset Poole north Scout Group are taking part in Purbeck.  Walk around the stunning Jurassic coast. Includes Dancing Ledge, quarries, caves and dinosaur footprints and an abundance of wildlife including in the past when we have done it deer, barn owls, dolphins and a variety of wild flowers including bee and spider orchids. 50
Down 9th Bangor Scout Group are taking part from Hollywood to Bangor. Around a 7 mile hike and doing an environmental project along the way. Other Badge work will be done along the walk as well. 10
Dundee 22nd Dundee Scout Group are taking part. Scouts hiking from Douglas Wood Scout Centre to Monikie Park.  Beavers and Cubs doing a Bug hunt / hike around Monikie Park. 50
Durham 21st Darlington Scout Group are taking part in a family hike local to Darlington. 50
Durham 7th Darlington Sea Scouts are taking part. 50
Durham 2nd Chester Le Street Scout Group are taking part. Finchale priory along River Wear. Part of our cub camp we will do a hike down to the riverside and along past the priory. 40
East Lothian 1st Cockenzie Scout Group are taking part in Edinburgh Scotland. The Scouts and Explorers will be hiking from Bonaly Scout Centre following a 10 mile trail in the Pentland hills taking in a couple of peaks along the way and working towards their navigator badges . Before returning to Bonlay for a tea and a night at camp. 17
Edinburgh Braid District Beavers and Cubs are taking part in the Pentland Hills, South East Scotland.  As part of District Camp Beavers and Cubs will be hiking in the Pentland Hills, just outside Edinburgh. 220
Essex Thurrock District are taking part:- Thames River walk from Grays to Purfleet. River walk for all sections finishing with a district picnic and groups visiting the Purfleet heritage centre at their leisure.  Return transport of heritage buses and train. 400
Essex Colchester Estuary Scout District are taking part in High Woods Country Park. Woodland journey with tree & plant i.d. quiz, plus ‘games in the wood’.
Fife 88th Fife (Kinshaldy) Scout Group, North East Fife District are taking part in a family day hike around Lucklaw Hill, Balmullo. 30
Fife 10th Fife (Cupar) Scout Group are taking part in Falkland Hills Regional Park.  Various graded walks for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers, culminating in a joint Group Promise ceremony. 100
Fife 62nd Fife Crossford Scout Group are taking part along the Fife Coastal path section from Culross back to our Scout hall in Crossford.  Meeting in Culross car park next to the coastal path and hike along the Fife coastal path until Charleston and then change direction to hike inland up to Crossford, total hike distance of 8.5 miles. 14
Fife 8th Fife (St Andrews) are taking part in Tentsmuir Forest. Walk and litter pick. 15
Glamorgan 2nd Llandaff Scout Group are taking part Wennalt to Tongwynlais.  Circular route 5.5km from the Coryton Roundabout on the M4 heading up towards the Wennalt reservoir, following the river to a source and then heading back via Tongwynlais dropping below Castell Coch 80
Glamorgan Llanishen and Lisvane Scout Group are taking part.  Walking with Wednesday Beavers. 25
Glamorgan Mid 2nd Merthyr, 4th Merthyr and 6th Merthyr District Beaver Colonies. are taking part in Plas Dolygaer  Scout Centre, Beavins National Park.:- Beavers will hike alongside a reservoir and along a forestry road in the morning before spending the afternoon doing outdoor activities at the camp.   30
Glamorgan Mid Merthyr District Beavers are taking part in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Beavers will be walking along the Taff Trail to the Brecon mountain railway and then catch a steam train to the campsite at Dolygaer where they will do a variety of camp activities such as obstacle courses in the woods, archery, wide games, natural crafts campfire and sleeping in tents. 30
Gloucestershire 3rd Tewkesbury Scout Group, are taking part in Tewkesbury. Family Hike followed by a BBQ and Chilli. 100
Gloucestershire 1st Hatherley Beaver Scouts are taking part in Cheltenham:- Park to Park to Park using footpaths and minor roads. 30
Gloucestershire 41st Cheltenham Scout Group are taking part.  Hike along paths in Cheltenham area collecting geocaches and identifying trees along the way. 20
Greater Manchester 1st Lowton (St. Mary’s) Scout Group are taking part in Waddecar Scout Activity Centre, Preston.  The Cubs will be laying a trail for the Beavers to follow. around the perimeter of the camp site. The Beavers will be stopping halfway to make a temporary dam in the River Brock and then continuing the walk. 25
Greater Manchester 7th and 8th Stalybridge Scout Groups are taking part in the Tame Valley. 300
Greater Manchester East 3rd Newton Scout Group are taking part at Boarfold Scout Campsite, Chisworth, Charlesworth. Setting off from campsite, walking along River Etherow to Marple. 16
Greater Manchester East North Manchester & Manchester South Scout District are taking part in Northern Manchester. A two-day hike covering a total of 26KM for the Scout section to take part in their expedition challenge. 50
Greater Manchester West 23rd Stretford Scout Group are taking part in Dunham Massey. Combining a hike of varying lengths for different sections with a group fun day, family camp and possibly AGM! 60
Guernsey Island of Guernsey Scouts are taking part in Guernsey. We are planning to walk from 2 locations to Vazon Beach and the create the world scout logo in stones prior to renewing our promises as an alternative to a St Georges Day parade. 300
Gwent 1st Llanmartin Scout Group are taking part in Wentwood Forest, Newport, Gwent.  Walk about 1 hour, giant pick nick, explorer badge for Beavers, part naturalist for Cubs. 100
Hampshire In Hampshire, Itchen North District have expressed an interest in taking part. 10
Hampshire IBEX ESU Scout Group are taking part:- A very long walk, as is tradition with us. 15

Hampshire 3rd Hayling Cub Scouts are taking part in Staunton Park, Havant. The Cubs will be walking around the park. 20
Hampshire Bedhampton Scout Group are taking part in Staunton Park, Havant.  A District Orienteering Competition. 12
Hampshire 28th Odiham (Dogmersfield & Crondall) Scout Group are walking from our Scout Hut into the wonderful Hampshire countryside. 30
Hampshire 2nd Fareham Scout Group are taking part. A circular hike of around 8 mile starting in East Meon. Will be doing it on the Sunday due to other commitments on the 11th. 15
Hampshire 1st Hart Plain & 1st Catherington Scout District: Waterlooville are taking part at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. We have invited all sections and their families to meet us at the Country Park for a walk together and a picnic afterwards. We have 70 families attending so we are hoping for sunshine! 90
Hampshire 1st Homewell  Scout Group are taking part during Havant District orienteering competition in Staunton Country Park. 10

Hampshire 14th New Forest East Scout Group are taking part in the New Forest – around Ferny Crofts Campsite.
As part of a group camp, beavers cubs and scouts from 14th NFE will be trekking on the night of 11th May.
Hertfordshire 1st Tring Scout Group are taking part from Aylesbury to Tring. Scouts will be walking the 7 miles from Aylesbury along the canal to Tring, hopefully being joined by Cubs and Beavers (plus their parents) along the way. 100
Highland and Islands 1st Nairn Scout Group, Inverness District will be taking part in Nairn.  Orienteering and walk. 50
Highland and Islands 1st Laxdale Scout Group will be taking part in Aline community woodland and hill walk, Isle of Lewis. Each scouting section within the group will complete a section of the woodland or hill walk stopping for a picnic along the way. 60
Highland and Islands 1st Wick Scout Group are taking part in Dunnet Forest, Caithness. We are joining up with 1st Dunnet Bay group and having a fun day at the local forest, all sections will be mixed and working together. 100
Highland and Islands 2nd Orkney Scout Group are taking part in Orkney.  Day hike round lochs in Orkney followed up by a camp and a surprise night hike for those who are fit. 30
Humberside North Humberside North City of Hull, Sutton Methodists have expressed an interest in taking part. 15
Humberside 21st West Hull St Martins and,Wellington St Matthews are taking part. 60
Humberside Craven Lea/St Giles Scout Group are taking part from St Giles to Hedon on the old / no longer used railway line track.  We are joining together with scouts and older cubs doing 6.96 miles there and back, younger cubs joining half way, beavers joining for the last mile. 25
Inverness-shire 6th Lochaber (the Braes) Scout Group, are taking part. Group walk/hike enjoying the scenery. 40
Isle of Man Wolf Pack – Southern Explorer Scout Unit: are taking part within the Isle of Man.
Isle of Man 3rd Castletown Scout Group, are taking part from Snaefell Mountain to Laxey Beach. Hike, then walk for Scouts, walk for Cubs. 10
Isle of Man 1st Douglas Scout Group are taking part from Snaefell Bungalow to Laxey Beach.  Walk and explore including old mine workings. 12
Isle of Man 1st Ballaugh Scout Group are taking part. Island Scout Groups complete walk. 81
Isle of Man 1st Rainbow Scout Group Ellan Vannin are taking part. Isle of Man Douglas to Marown along the old railway path. Exploring whilst walking on an old unused railway line. 16
Isle of Man 1st Laxey Cubs Scouts Scout Group are taking part. Setting off from Glen Maye Waterfall car park on the west coast, we will finish at St Johns after following various footpaths and the disused railway line footpath. It’s a lengthy Hike of approx. 7½ miles, and with a challenging ascent up through the Arrasey Plantation, then mostly flat on established public footpaths, with a good decent down Barnell Lane so it is achievable for Cubs and should be good fun. 12
Isle of White 6th Newport Scout Group are taking part at Carisbrooke castle. We are going to find the River Nile and float boats on it as part of our Around the World in 80 days term. 15
Jersey 2nd Greve D’Azette  Scout Group are taking part in Grouville/St Clement/St Helier. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to hike from different locations and meet at HQ for supper. Will all start night hike together with 3 finish points for different age groups. 50
Jersey 23rd Jersey Scout Group are hiking around the south west corner of the island of Jersey, exploring the varied landscapes of this small island.  We are planning a 16km hike, with the elder Cubs and Scouts completing the full 16km that takes in the beautiful coastal scenery around the south west tip of Jersey to the lighthouse at Corbiere; strikes off across the sand dunes and then circumnavigates the Val de la Mare reservoir before heading up to the Neolithic dolmen to admire the sea views before heading back down to the coast.  A shorter 8km route is recommended for our Beavers and younger Cubs that finishes just after walking around the reservoir and then through Val de la Mare arboretum. 70
Jersey 6th Jersey Scout Group are taking part. Beavers/Cubs walking from St Mary’s youth and community centre, through the country lanes to Greve de Lecq. Scouts are doing dusk to dawn hike from Cobiere St Brelades to St Catherine’s in St Martin roughly 30 miles in total. 60
Kent From Maidstone via an exciting train ride to Harrietsham along pilgrims way then up Hollingbourne hill (a signature part of my hikes a must have)  to the north downs back to Hollingbourne station timing essential to get it right to catch train back to Maidstone.
Hopefully we’ll have all sections as normal Explorers, Scouts, Cubs & Beavers, also hope to have Boughton Monchelsea Cubs again this year they have been with us for the last 2 years
Night hike from Sutton Valance back to scout hut for a hearty dog roll and drink. Then a lot of sleep!!
Kent 1st Cheriton Cub Scouts, Folkestone, Hythe & District are taling part 45
Kent 38th & 40th Strood Explorer Sea Scout Unit, Medway Towns are taking part in Buckmore Park Scout Camp Site and Activity Centre. Walking the boundaries and possible night hike on North Kent Marshes. 10
Kent 27th All Saints Scouts, Medway District will be doing a hike in their local area.  50
Kent Gillingham Scout District are taking part. 100
Kent 11th Tonbridge Scout Group are taking part from Goudhurst to Paddock Wood. Explorers will do the total length with the other sections joining along the way.
It is our 100th birthday this year so will end with a birthday tea.
Last year we joined walking along the Medway from Maidstone to East Peckham.
Kent 2nd Sandgate Scout Group are taking part in Folkestone area. Group dusk walking event for all Sections and parents as well as using it as a ‘Bring a friend’ recruitment tool. 50
Kent St Paul’s Rusthall Scout Group are taking part in Groombridge, Kent.  Scouts and Explorers camping and setting off for a challeging 12 -15 mile hike at dawn to rendezvous with Cub & Beaver sections doing a 5 mile hike at our District Campsite where a BBQ will await them. This is our 3rd event participation. 30
Kent 30th Strood (Cuxton) Scout Group are taking part. Walking a set route around the parks 142 acres. Buckmore Park scout campsite Maidstone road Chatham ME59QG.   40
Kent 1st Saltwood Scout Group, Folkestone, Hythe & District are taking part: Lyminge Castle, Kent. Beavers & Cubs Hike. 60
Kent Dartford District are taking part along Darent Valley Path, with the full route beginning with a loop from Otford via Chipstead to Sevenoaks and back, then continuing from Otford on to Dartford Park.
Our usual hike, mainly along the Darent Valley Path, with distances ranging from 1 mile to 21 miles to suit all ages / sections / abilities.  Start times allow all to arrive at Dartford Park around 4pm, where badges, snacks & drinks await.  The Steam and Heritage Fair is on in the Park too and all participants should be able to catch the end of it if interested.
Kent 1st Bearsted/Mote Park Scout Group are taking part along North Downs Way between Hollingbourne and Bearsted. A brand new event for all cubs in Maidstone East District. Walking 10km from Hollingbourne Station to Bearsted Scout Hut with a BBQ at the end. 8
Lanarkshire North 231st Glasgow (1st Kilsyth) Scout District are taking part in Kelvin Valley. 24
Lanarkshire South 1st Lesmahagow Beavers and Cubs are taking part in Strathclyde Country Park – Lanarkshire.  Beavers and Cubs are meeting in the Palace Grounds and walking towards and around Strathclyde Loch in the grounds of Strathclyde Country Park. They will be following the ‘blue’ trail around the loch looking at the flora and fauna as well as the remains of the Roman Bath House which is on the site. 40

Lancashire 14th Ormskirk Scout Group are taking part in Rufford near Ormskirk.  From the Scout Hut, through Mere Sands Wood a Lancashire Wildlife Trust reserve.  The walk will also be used as part of the Navigator stage 3 badge, the Cubs involved in the badge will use a map to navigate. 18

Leicestershire Whitwick Scout Group are taking part in Johns Lee Wood campsite near Anstey, Leicestershire through Charnwood Forest to Whitwick Scout HQ. A cascade hike starting with Explorers and Leaders then picking up the Scouts (Copt Oak Church) followed by the Cubs (Oaks in Charnwood campsite) and finally our Beavers at Mount Saint Bernard Abbey. We shall all picnic together here before the final stage to our group HQ. Family, friends and dogs are all welcome to join in. 80

Lincolnshire 1st Waddington (10th Lincoln) Scout Group are taking part.  We will be hiking to the south of Lincoln in and around the River Witham valley and up on the Lincoln Edge.  A possible starting point will be on the Viking Way at the International Bomber Command Centre.  There will be separate hikes for each section varying in time to qualify for a ‘Hikes Away’. The plan will be to have all the hikers arrive back at the Scout Hut at roughly the same time for well-earned refreshments of Burger and Sausage Baps with drinks to quench the thirst. 70
Lincolnshire 1st Metheringham Scout Group are taking part Sleaford to Metheringham.  We are having a sponsored hike. The scouts are walking 12miles, cubs 7miles and beavers 2.5miles.  Everyone joins up to meet at the scout hut for a BBQ at the finish. 65
Lincolnshire 7th Grantham (St. John’s) Scout Group are taking part in Ancaster Village, Grantham.  Scouts will be doing a longer walk, setting off in the morning and walking public footpaths around Ancaster, they will then meet the Beavers and Cubs, to have a picnic in the village park at lunchtime.   
All three sections will then continue the walk together, finishing off at the Scout District Camp site for hotdogs and drinks.
Lincolnshire 24th Lincoln (Saxilby) Scout Group are taking part from Saxilby to Skellingthorpe.  Beavers and Cubs will be hiking across country from Saxilby to Skellingthorpe, stopping for lunch in the woods, then onto the play park and ending at Daisy Made for a well-deserved ice cream. 20
Lincolnshire 1st Barrowby, 8th Harrowby and 9th St Annes Scout Groups are taking part in Woolsthorpe and Barrowby.  Starting out at Woolsthorpe walking along the Grantham Canal, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery. Finishing up at the Scout Hut with games and refreshments afterwards. 50

Moray 1st Fochabers Scout Group are taking part in Culbin Forrest, Moray.  Hike around Culbin Forest with snack aside the viewing Tower, we shall be doing ghost jott this year so it will be a night hike. 35
Moray 1st Hopeman Scout Group are taking part on Ben Aigan.  Beavers plan to climb Ben Aigan (elev 471m) and have a family picnic at the top. 60
North East Scotland 1st Monifieth and 6th Carnoustie Scout District: South Angus are taking part at Morton Lochs and Tensmuir.  Monifieth and Carnoustie Beavers from South Angus are navigating a 5k hike from Morton Lochs to Tensmuir Beach through Tensmuir Forest. 40
Northamptonshire 1st Burton Latimer Scout Group, Glendon District are taking part in Castleton, Derbyshire. Walk from Castleton to mam tor and a visit to local caves. 18

Somerset The 5th Hove Scouts will start our Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT) by walking off site, navigating an often used trail (normally our dark walk route). We will lunch on the way, exploring the environment we find and be back on site for 15:00. Then back t0 the H.Q. for dispersal.

I’m planning to continue our beach litter pick scheme by asking Scouts to carry a rubbish bag(s) (which we can rotate through the group) to collect litter and items that don’t belong in the countryside (including our lunch items).

Please be prepared for weather and terrain conditions, strong footwear or hike boots, waterproofs (top and bottom), warm clothing, with spares, sun cream, in a day bag/rucksack with drink (not fizzy) and some trail mix/snack food for the journey as well as your lunch.

Argentina San Patricio Scout Group are taking part in Buenos Aires.  We’ll meet at the group’s headquarters.  From there we will go by train and subway to the southern end of the city, where is the historic center (neighborhood of San Telmo), about 15 km from San Patricio.  We will then start our JOTT walk and take the opportunity to pass through some of the city’s historical points.  We estimate a 4:30 hs walk and arrive at the headquarters of the Group around 15 hs. 65
Argentina Argentina Scout (living in the UK) Lochgoilhead, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. Is taking part in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland.  Trip will start at Belfast in the morning, going to Downpatrick and visiting some historical and cultural places there, specially where St. Patrick is buried. Then, back to Belfast. 1
Australia Five groups in a newly formed Scout District: Ekibin District are taking part at JC Slaughter falls and Botanical Gardens at Mt Cootha on Brisbanes west side. This will be out first ever JOTT and our first ever whole of District event where there will be age appropriate activities focussing around a hike in the gardens for Joeys and Cubs and a mountain hike to the vantage points on Mt Cootha for the scouts, Venturers and Rovers. All groups will end up together at the JC Slaughter falls picnic area along the creek banks for a sausage sizzle for lunch and a chance to tell the stories of the day to siblings and friends in other groups and sections. 80

It is rare in the world to find such a powerful place as the Leven Canyon, that is so easy to access. Enjoy spectacular sweeping views from Cruickshanks Lookout 275m above the Leven River. Alongside the track, discover ferns, brightly coloured fungi and native wildlife.
Canada 243 Tuscany Scout Group, Nosehill West are taking part on an historical route: Tuscany Community, Alberta, Canada.  Beavers will hike on Thursday, White Tails will join cubs on Friday, Howlers will join Scouts on Friday and 4th Year Scouts will join Vents.  All hiking a similar Trail but in different groups. 80
Canada 2nd Westmount Cubs are taking part in the Tamaracouta Scout Reserve (TSR), Mille Iles, Quebec.  The Cubs will return to the Tamaracouta Scout Reserve and will do 3 hikes over the weekend (including a night hike).  With any luck, we won’t need our snowshoes! 20
Canada Various Groups from the Windstone Area, Chinook Council are taking part in Park Lake Provincial Campground (Outside of Lethbridge, AB).  We are holding our annual Windstone Beaveree on the same day as JOTT and will be incorporating a 40 minute activity for the youth (and adults!) to enjoy some fun on the trail.  We will be hiking a trail completing a photo scavenger hunt and using a gps unit to find a hidden geocache! 97
Czech Republic 1st Prague Scout Group are taking part. We will stay over-night in a camp in Bela pod Bezdem the exact address being U Strelnice 317, 29421, Belá pod Bezdezem, about 1h 30m from Prague, the hike will be in the nearby forest.
The explorers will complete their expedition badge by planning a route of 30km over 2 days, in the forest near our camp, and will be mostly autonomous, except for check points by leaders.
The scout will also plan a route, and hike in the same area for about 12km, using compass points and completing their navigation stage 3 badge.
We will camp over-night and do some activities on the following day.
Faroe Islands Skotafylki Torir Beinirsson Scout Group are taking part on the island of Sandoy. The length will be 10 km and will take 3-4 hours. 25
Finland Karhut Scout Group are taking part. We are little group of Scouts in Western Finland and want to be part of JOTT for the first time ever, I hope it is possible! 12
France Des Jalles Scout Group are taking part in St Médard en Jalles. We will walk along the stream of our commune (about 8km) and through woods. But we will hike at night so that young people and their parents listen to the sounds of the forest and watch the stars. 80
Ireland 1st Kilkenny Scout Group are taking part in 5k (approx) walk along trail yet to be decided. 25
Ireland 1st & 4th Clare Beaver Scouts are taking part. Location of event not confirmed yet, but the last 4 years we have gone to the Cascades in Lissycasey.  It’s a beautiful hilly walk and trail through woods, a beautiful time during the year. The woods are covered with beautiful blue bells.  We pass a small Waterfall, which has a seating area where Kids sit after having a small treat. Many parents join us for this walk. 30
Ireland 7th Clare Ballyvaughan Scout Group are taking part up Cappanawalla Mountain in Ballyvaughan, Co Clare which is located in the Burren area.  7th Clare Beaver Group are hosting the event as a Country Wide event. We hope to encourage other beaver groups from across the County to join us. 50
Ireland 1st Mayo Castlebar & 3rd Mayo Ballinrobe Scout Groups are taking part in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, West of Ireland.  Youth members of all sections of 1st and 3rd Mayo will partake in the hike. Venturers & Scouts start the hike at Raheens woods, a native woodland on the outskirts of Castlebar. The Cubs will join the hike from Lough Lannagh carpark, where the greenway brings you around the orbital walkway of the lake. The greenway follows on and will bring them through the townland of Castlebar. The Beavers will join the older youth members at the town park. The hike will finish in Turlough village community centre. 155
